If you’ve taken out our extra accidental damage cover then we’ll cover you for any accidental damage that occurs during your DIY.
This only covers amateur DIY like decorating, changing a tap washer or putting up a shelf – and we don’t cover faulty workmanship.
We won't cover you for projects that are outside our definition of amateur DIY, including replacing your roof, knocking walls out or building an extension. Also, it's worth knowing that we won't cover you for tampering with gas appliances - it's also illegal.
