My vehicle's not showing as insured on the Motor Insurance Database

The common reasons for this error may be one of the following:

  • There may be a '0' (zero) instead of an 'o' in your registration number or the other way around.
  • You've recently changed the registration as it's a private number plate.

You can update your registration number via the "Change Car" section of your My account, or check if your vehicle is showing on the Motor Insurance Database at

Please note that if you have recently purchased your policy, this has only just renewed, or you've just changed your vehicle, the Motor Insurance Database can take up to 48 hours to update.
